A tiny watercolour painting & a winner too

After doing some non too exciting tasks today (paperwork *yawn* and tidying my craft room *more yawning*) I allowed myself a few moments with my water colour paints. I decided on familiar subjects: flowers and bears.  Not flowers and beards which also is a thing apparently.

Moving on to something completely different: the randomly chosen winner of the Lisa Lam patterns is Michele T.! Congratulations, I'll be in touch with you soon. :)

Thumbelina & the Swallow

thumbelina

Today I started the Thumbelina & Swallow water colour painting for the online Children's book Illustration class I enrolled in via Skillshare a few months ago. It's far from finished and possibly not the definitive version but I thought I'd share it here with you. The idea is that if the illustration would be actually printed in a book it would be spread on 2 pages and there would be text in the top half of the left page. Obviously I'm also thinking of making this into an embroidery pattern (in a slightly adapted form). :)

p.s. There are lots of interesting, not too expensive, design classes on Skillshare and if you follow my link you should get a 10$ discount on your first course (and I will get a 10$ credit which I will use to enroll in another class, yay!)
