Embroidery Stitch Challenge!

So what is this Follow the White Bunny Embroidery Stitch Challenge all about? It's about challenging me to master a stitch, because I really don't know that many stitches. And it's about you challenging yourself to do the same! Every Monday I will share with you my failures and successes in learning new stitches. And if you want to join in certain challenges, let me know and  I will share your photos and/or comments/tips in the post too. I tend to stay in my 'comfort zone' when I'm looking for new stitches to learn so I really need your help to challenge me. Leave a comment on this post with your Stitch suggestion and I will let you know this Friday which one I will try and tackle over the weekend and you can join in (or not). Looking forward to your suggestions!
Thanks! x

  1. Sounds like a great idea. I used to keep a stitch notebook. Try a new one on a scrap piece of fabric. Write down the particulars and staple the scrap to the page.

  2. The bouillon knot would be awesome! I have no idea how to do it.

  3. I'll play along. I need to learn more too. I've been thinking about a stitch sampler for a while now. Trying to come up with a cool design but will probably just end up with stripes.

  4. this sounds like fun. it would be cool to stitch up a sampler of the different stitches. I too was thinking of the bouillen knot. I just can't get that thing right.

  5. The Bullion Knot is a good one. I have made a few before but I can't really say I'm an expert! Thanks!
Would love to hear more suggestions to keep me busy for the next couple of weeks/months/year! :)

  6. I love learning new stitches! I keep a cloth on which i keep accumulating new ones, i think i have 20 variations of the running stitch... Thinking of the bear and fish, nautical theme, in your latest patterns, i would love to see the rope stitch or the double knot stitch!
