In my hoop

This little sailor bear has been in my hoop for a long time. With the school holidays, a couple of exciting but badly timed commissioned projects etc etc, progress has been very slow... But hopefully one day he'll sail into the shop as a new pattern. ;)

While I was doing some Stitch research for one of the projects I learned something new about one of the most basic embroidery stitches around: the Stem Stitch. I thought I knew it quite well but was never 100% happy with how mine turned out. Now that I'm doing my Stem stitches in a different way I'm much happier with how my Stem Stitch looks. I'm hoping to squeeze in a little post with a photo or two for you all in the next week or so!
