Sunday stash #19 Sew cute!

I know I have shown these Alexander Henry fabrics (or at least some of them) before on this blog but they are so cute! Earlier this year (or was it last year? I can't remember)  I could not resist an Ebay bargain and bought a whole lot of these. All are smaller pieces which would be perfect for a quilt-y kind of thing or even better a sewing machine cozy like Bethie made a little while ago!

Sunday stash # 6 Pantry

This is one of my first fabric buys. I don't remember what I paid for it or what I was planning to do with it. Maybe I intended to make an apron with it. Anyway I still love it. It's from Alexander Henry and it's called Pantry. Because I'm a historian (well trained to be one anyway) I'm going to give you a little background about Pantries (if that is the correct plural for pantry). The Wikipedia says this: "In a late medieval hall, there were separate rooms for the various service functions and food storage. A pantry was where bread (as in the french word 'pain') was kept and food preparation associated with it done" No sign of bread in Alexander Henry's pantry though...

Are these sewing themed fabrics not mouthwatering cute? That's what I thought when I saw them and I bought rather a lot of it. Having already shared some with some crafty friends I thought I'd share a bit more with one of you. Don't worry there is still plenty left for me. :) The fabrics are by Alexander Henry and are called Sew now, Sew wow and Perfect pattern. There is one fat quarter and some smaller pieces (17 by 8 inches or something) and I threw in a golden sunny vintage ric rac as well. So the only thing you will have to do to enter this giveaway is leave a comment before noon (oslo time) saturday may 9, and tell what your current or next sewing project is! Sunday stash # 1 April Showers
