Crazy Fill Stitch Project: Circus Rabbit Portrait

I was in doubt whether I would share this when it's so nowhere near finished but on the other hand I wanted to let you all have a peek at what a crazy fill stitch project looks like when it's only halfway done. It doesn't look all that great at the moment and I'm not even sure if it will look great when it's finished either. I think I've done about 8 hours of stitching on this scene already. Two strands and tiny stitches....crazy right?

Oh and if all is right *keeps fingers crossed* British peeps can look forward to some new Follow the White Bunny Patterns coming to a news stand near you in the near future. I will tell more about the 'what' and 'where' once I have seen it myself! :)

  1. I am intrigued, and can't wait to hear more. (I also need to look up 'crazy stitch', as I'm still unfamiliar with many embroidery concepts.)

  2. LOL I call it 'crazy' because it's so much work fill stitching the whole embroidery, it's not an official stitch. :)

  4. Yes well they will be inside a magazine of course. A magazine which is more commonly found in British Newsstands rather than American Newsstands (or Dutch ones for that matter...) ;) Not sure if British people would even call it a 'newsstand'???

  7. Crazy COOL stitching, I'd say! I love the texture of the fur and the garments. So much of your work has lovely, textural fill stitch. All of those tiny stitches give the image such depth. Very inspiring -- and so time consuming!
