Toof

As Luna is about to lose her first milk tooth, we started a project together to make a small Tooth Fairy bag. I cut the fabrics, Luna (with a little guidance) does the sewing on her mini Janome.  I told Luna she could rummage through my scrap baskets and stash with smaller pieces to select fabrics for the bag. She loves novelty fabrics and bright prints and put together an interesting set of fabrics. :)  I cut a 'tooth' from white felt and in a later stage I will  embroider some eyes and a mouth on it so it will look a little like the lovely Ickle & Lardee, stars of the wonderful My Milk Toof blog.

  1. So cute! Congrats to Luna! Hopefully her new tooth won't be far behind. Mariam was without front teeth for almost seven months!

    1. Oh dear I hadn't thought of that possibility. I think school photos are made in a month or two, and I really do hope the new tooth will have filled the gap by then. :)

  2. How exciting! I hope you don't get the same messy, messy tooth fairy who visits us. She leaves fairy dust (glitter) *everywhere*.
Bridget is going to have a gappy smile for her school photos in a few weeks too. :-)

  3. Well I hope the Messy Tooth Fairy only visits Australia ;) So Bridget is already getting her 'grown up' teeth! Luna is quite late (nearly 7 now!) Zoe was about the same age when she lost her first milk toof.. :)

  4. Oh that's a lovely idea. My eldest has just started losing his milk teeth *sobs* and this is a much more tasteful offering to the tooth fairy than the fistful of toilet paper she's had to deal with so far!
