Guess what?

Any ideas as to what this is going to be? It really looks like an owl from this angle but it isn't... A little idea I have had on my pin board for about 2 years but never get round to actually try out. During my lunch break today I made progress though and actually cut into some of my precious Liberty fabric so it better turn out cute!  

p.s. Guess what? (part 2) I have a little Sale going on in my Follow the White Bunny shop as I'm going to discontinue some of my older patterns. It's quite possible that one or two of these patterns will re-appear in an updated version at some point but for now it's farewell! Sale ends on March 15th.

Discount to celebrate!

In my own Follow the White Bunny shop, customers can download their patterns immediately after payment. A great feature if you ask me because what is better than directly receiving the goods you have paid for? Today I found out (by accident actually) that Etsy had also made this feature available for the Follow the White Bunny Etsy shop. I worked hard this afternoon to adjust all the listings so all my patterns that are listed on Etsy are now ready to download immediately after purchase as well!

To celebrate I have a special discount in both my shops this weekend. If you buy patterns for at least $10 you get a $2.50 discount! You have to use the code BUNNYDISCOUNT at check out though. End of year things...

I have been doing a lot of cocooning (is that still a word?) in the last couple of days. Exploring my new Apple gadget Santa (aka my husband Erik) gave me with a very special inscription.  We have also been playing quite a lot of board games with the girls. I could write a whole post about board games I love, maybe I will do that next year.... I've also been doing a little bit of embroidery and I'm almost almost finished with hand sewing the binding on the quilt I was planning as a gift.

I'm very content with the dark binding but I'm not so sure about the straight line quilting here. I really should try to learn how to do nice squiggly and loopy free motion quilting. The straight lines are beginning to bore me a bit!

It has been so very hot here, I can't imagine it will get any more summer-y than this! Paddling pool for the kids in the garden, barbeques, drinking iced tea and iced coffee, slowly solving giant sudoku puzzles, reading a bit, embroidering a bit and generally being quite unproductive. Lovely bag + Mini-Sale

This afternoon I picked up this gorgeous shopping bag designed by Dutch designer Tord Boorntje. I love his designs! All proceeds of this Artbag are going to the organization Stop Aids Now! so I had absolutely no reason to not buy this bag. :)

Moving on to the Mini-Sale! As you might like to use one (or two or more)  of my patterns to make holiday gifts I have Mini-Sale. From now until this Sunday (including the Sunday that is) I will give you a 20 percent refund via Paypal on all patterns except the Pattern Package Deals. From the 1st of December or thereabouts the price of some of my patterns will be slightly (not dramatically) raised to cover the Etsy and Paypal expenses.
